Conditions Treated
Post Operative Physiotherapy
Time spent in hospital can make going home feel daunting and although the hospital will ensure your care needs are organised, you may require additional support and with swift intervention around your physical activity we can optimise your recovery with ease, leading to better outcomes and quality of life.

Neurological Physiotherapy
We know it is scary to feel like your body is failing you. Loss of balance, control and mobility can be alarming, but with the correct interventions we can help maintain the independence you have for a much longer period of time and keep you comfortable if you are reliant on equipment to help you in day to day life.

Care of the Elderly
Age is but a number and it should not stop you from achieving what you set out to. We believe that if you need help you should be able to access it immediately. We are here to help you recover after a fall, a fracture or a peroid of infection in hospital. '10 days in a hospital bed leads to 10 years worth of lost muscle mass in those over 80' (Gill et al.) We can reverse this with a specialised home exercise programme focused on strength and mobility...'if you don't use it, you lose it'.

Muscle and Joint Pain Physiotherapy
Pain in the muscles and joints is not always from a sports injury. Lower back pain is one of the most common causes of debilitating pain and in our elderly population it is rotator cuff injuries in the shoulder. Whether you are suffering from neck or back pain, sore knees, shoulders or elbows or aching wrists or ankles we can help ease those symptoms with a Penguin Pace Pamper session.

Respiratory Physiotherapy
Suffering from a bad chest? Struggling to clear it? Had a recent chest infection?
We can help take you through specialist breathing exercises to help optimise your lungs capacity and clear sputum with ease. Excessive coughing can cause further discomfort and pain so ideally we want to minimise this whilst effectively removing the phlegm that is making your breathing more difficult. Pacing activities and using equipment where required can help lighten the load on your lungs too. We can also perform hands on chest clearing techniques that require firm but supportive hands for those incapacitated in bed.

Rehabilitation Services for Care Managers and their Clients
We regularly work closely with other local health care professionals including case managers who are helping clients navigate the care systems available. We provide our experienced physiotherapy service with professionalism and compassion, empathising with our clients and their family through some of their toughest times. We provide expert, tailored rehabilitation, and can produce timely, detailed progress reports as required.

Physiotherapy in Care Homes
We are specialists in the caring sector and work closely with other professionals in care homes. We have many years experience of providing rehabilitation services for care homes and their residents as well as home care providers and their clients. We are fortunate to work with residential care homes, nursing care homes and rehabilitation respite units as well as individuals at home with live in carers and visiting carers. We feel it is vital that every individuals potential is recognised in care settings and that no one is considered too old for rehabilitation.
We also happily provide group Physiotherapy exercise classes for local care homes to ensure the residents are able to access some form of physical activity on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

Physiotherapy for Dementia
Physiotherapy for dementia can have a profound impact for someone living with this condition. It will not change the diagnosis, but expert physiotherapy delivered in their home environment can help them stay mobile, comfortable and safe. It will reduce falls, preventing painful complications and will protect their dignity at every stage of the condition. Seeing a loved one navigate the progression of this condition is an emotional and challenging journey for family members. When you have cognitive decline compounded by any physical setback the situation can feel overwhelming. You want to ensure they are safe, comfortable and treated with the utmost dignity. As experienced clinicians in this condition we have developed a deep expertise in the neurological, cognitive and physical movement symptoms that come with dementia and we draw strongly on our specialist Neurological Physiotherapy techniques to manage rigidity and falls due to the similarities in symptoms with Parkinsons.
