Our focus is in elderly care and post surgical rehabilitation.
We treat arthritis and joint pain, post surgical rehabilitation including hip and knee replacements, postural related issues, neurological conditions (ie Stroke, Parkinsons etc), respiratory physiotherapy to help those having difficulty breathing or clearing their chest, as well as general aches and pains that require hands on treatment including massage.
We are also offering a pamper service to those caring for their elderly relatives as well as those in manual labour jobs or even desk based jobs that are causing postural issues to help ease pain and stiffness with hands on massage and physiotherapy techniques.
Penguin Pace Physiotherapy sessions are allocated 60 minutes, this will comprise of 45 minutes face to face time to allow for assessment, treatment and home exercises and 15 minutes to ensure all legal notes are professionally documented and extras such as writing letters to other health professionals or discussing your care with other health professionals involved in your care are able to take place in a timely manner.Penguin Pace Pamper sessions are also allocated 60 minutes and this will comprise of a 45 minute hands on massage plus any home exercises that may be provided and also allow for all legal notes to be professionally documented.
Penguin Pace PhysiotherapyAs a new client your session will start with an informal chat around your injuries, issues and restrictions before treatment commences. Follow up sessions will start with some questions to gather the relevant information about any changes before treatment begins. The session may include hands on treatment, strengthing/mobility/balance exercises and home exercises to be completed outside of your home visits.Penguin Pace PamperAs a new client your session will start with an informal chat around your injuries, issues and restrictions before treatment commences. Follow up sessions will start with some questions to gather the relevant information about any changes before treatment begins. The session will include hands on treatment to ease tension and stiffness in the relevant area and may include home exercises to be completed outside of your home visits.
All equipment will be brought to you at home including a massage table and towels, massage cream and exercise equipment if required.
You will be best to wear shorts and for females a top with thin straps to allow access to the areas where you require hands on treatment.
Your first session will involve a short assessment to ensure we have all the relevant information to treat you safely and then you will receive hands on treatment for the issues you disclose.
Absolutely, we regularly visit clients in care homes, whether there for respite or long term care we specialise in providing physiotherapy services for the care sector and therefore are very familiar with the unique intricacies of working in the care setting and liasing with other health professionals involved in our clients care.
